Responsibilities

Responsible for the organization and communication between the buses, airport guests, and dispatchers.

    Assist shift Supervisor in all duties including but not limited to:
    • getting operators signed in and out
    • completing Daily Attestation (COVID) Health Questionnaire
    • checking radios in and out
    • ensuring all drivers are in correct uniforms with badges
    • assigning shuttle assignments
  • Assign buses to the correct loading gate, and communicate to the correct gate to the airport guests
  • Assist in moving buses in the most efficient and safe manner in the bus plaza
  • Assist and support with driving, as operational conditions require
  • Assist the field supervisor in recording the maintenance issues on the buses
  • Assist in monitoring communication with dispatch for smooth flow of operation
  • Assist in tracking work hours to avoid overtime and tracking DOT hours
  • Assist in monitoring operators in taking correct breaks
  • Assist in logging fuel levels and determining what buses need to have the porters clean
  • Assist in sanitizing touch point while on downtime
  • Encourage and monitor drivers in following safety procedures including:
    • ensuring proper PPE is worn correctly
    • ensuring safe bus movement
    • reporting safety hazards
    • ensuring the proper sanitation of buses during shifts
  • Assist drivers in backing, if backing is necessary
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience Required: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Per DOT Regulations, you will be required to have and maintain a valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver's License depending on the location's hiring needs, with Passenger Endorsement if you will be responsible for operating shuttle buses with a passenger capacity of 15 passengers or more.

Required to have and maintain any other badging / licensing requirements deemed necessary by the location.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be a requirement.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

Appearance: Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle cash and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Salary Range: $21.00 per hour (+ tips)

This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
