What You'll Do:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam).
- Lead and manage daily operations of CNC mill/lathe cells.
- Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specifications, and 3D tool models for accurate machining.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools to ensure quality standards.
- Machine a wide range of materials including steels, alloys, aluminum, titanium, super alloys, plastics, composites, and additive-manufactured parts.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain production efficiency.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8+ years' experience in tool-and die fabrication
- 6+ years' experience in leading CNC-mill/lathe cell operations
- 6+ years' experience in machining steels, alloys, aluminums, titanium, super alloys, plastics, composites, and AM parts.
- 6+ years' experience in Computerized Numerical Control (CNC)
- 6+ years' experience in Tool & Die Maker
What Sets You Apart:
- Proven proficiency with CNC set-up, programming (G-code, M-code, etc.) and CAM software (Mastercam or similar)
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation; ability to work with 3-D tool models
- Understanding of inspection tools to perform in process quality control
- Excellent communication skills-ability to discuss complex technical concepts with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to safety; active participation in ESH compliant programs and proactive hazard identification
- Ability and willingness to train junior machinist on setup, inspection, and best practice tooling techniques
