Stellar Solutions is seeking a Scheduler to support the SN SE&I program in planning and managing integrated schedules for resilient remote sensing and national security space capabilities. This role supports complex acquisition efforts across space, ground, software, and hardware systems and helps provide the program with actionable schedule insight, risk visibility, and decision support. The position requires close collaboration across program stakeholders and disciplined execution in a dynamic mission environment.
Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
This role helps establish and maintain integrated scheduling rigor across major defense acquisition activities. The Scheduler will work with technical and programmatic data from multiple sources to develop actionable schedules, identify risks, and support customer planning and execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop, maintain, and update project-based schedules, including critical paths and baseline comparisons
- Support planning and development efforts on Major Defense Acquisition Programs involving space, ground, software, or hardware systems
- Develop, document, and execute Lean-Agile processes to establish and manage Integrated Master Schedules and technical baselines
- Identify scheduling risks or conflicts and implement remediation and mitigation plans
- Apply Critical Path Methodology to identify dependencies, calculate float, and expose schedule risks
- Use scheduling tools including MS Project, Milestones Professional, One Pager Pro, SharePoint, and Excel to support program planning
- Gather data from multiple sources and stakeholders and present it in a useful manner for the customer
- Build collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teammates to achieve program goals
- Identify, document, and integrate technical and programmatic data describing systems, segments, and external drivers
- Review and provide input to the Integrated Master Schedule in support of program execution
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with systems engineering or project management, schedule planning, and development efforts on Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, or hardware systems
- 1+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and updating project-based schedules including critical paths and comparing actual progress against the baseline
- Experience developing, documenting, and executing a Lean-Agile process to establish and manage Integrated Master Schedules and technical baselines
- Experience identifying scheduling risks or conflicts and implementing remediation and mitigation plans
- Experience applying Critical Path Methodology to identify dependencies, calculate float, and expose schedule risks
- Experience with scheduling tools, including MS Project, Milestones Professional, One Pager Pro, SharePoint, and Excel
- Ability to gather data from multiple sources and stakeholders across the program and display it in a useful manner for the customer
- Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teammates to achieve program goals
- Ability to identify, document, and integrate technical and programmatic data describing systems, segments, and external drivers to review and provide input to the Integrated Master Schedule
- Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing systems engineering, program management, and schedule development activities on space-based remote sensing systems
- Experience using a model-based systems engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baseline
- Experience managing annual schedule activities for remote sensing sustainment programs, working with large amounts of data, and utilizing metrics to improve processes and ensure consistency and standardization across the organization
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
- Knowledge of space systems and their corresponding design, development, manufacturing, integration and testing, deployment, operations, and decommissioning activities
- Ability to communicate, coordinate, and concurrently manage several program-level, enterprise, and integrated master schedules
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a relevant field
Clearance & Additional Requirements
- Active Secret clearance
- Active TS/SCI clearance is desired
- All positions require at least 2-3 days per week on site; meetings and schedules may require additional on-site support
Location El Segundo, California
Compensation: The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $115,000 - $143,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).
Deliverable(s)
Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
