Job Summary

Analyzes the effectiveness of current business processes to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement | Designs, develops or participates in the optimization of business objectives. | Develops proposals for further development of the organization to support the business strategy

Functional Leadership
  • Determines professional/ technical approaches and strategies for own function
  • Develops policies and procedures for own function, in line with overall organization strategy
  • Has responsibility for the function and reports to the site/ SBU head (and/ or to a Home Office functional leader).


Essential Functions

  • Utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively.
  • Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress.
  • Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
  • Develops and directs reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership.
  • Executes and enables an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function.
  • May analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital.



Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business Administration or Related Degree
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Business Operations. Strategic Analysis. Strategic Project Management. Strategy Development. Strategy Management. Trend Analysis. Organizational Goal Setting. Strategic Planning. Risk Analysis. Long Term Planning.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.


Travel Requirements

25-50% travel likely.
