Essential Duties:



  • Receive claim notice, establish claim files, input data and maintain Casualty Board spreadsheet
  • Wage investigation, initiate bi-weekly comp payments, manage and track those on comp
  • Input payments and provide appropriate support
  • Draft authorization, appointment and medical records request letters
  • Department Of Labor (DOL) document submission -responsible for generating and timely filing of LS forms to the DOL
  • Schedule medical appointments, independent medical exams, surveillance, and claimant transportation
  • Upon request, copy claims files to be forwarded into Origami claim system
  • Responsible for status requests for claimant checks, medical payments and vendor payments
  • Maintain electronic claim files.
  • Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests


Minimum Requirements:



  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5+ year general office background


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2+ years insurance and office claims experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Well organized, high attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and resourcefully with minimal supervision.
  • Work effectively with remote staff
