Director of Mental Health Education Outreach

Will lead our efforts in public education about mental health and stigma reduction. This individual will play a critical leadership role in driving the strategy and execution of education initiatives that enhance public understanding of mental health conditions. They will oversee a multidisciplinary team and spearhead efforts to produce engaging, accessible content that aligns with MGB's mission of promoting mental health awareness and advocacy.

Essential Functions
-Develop and implement a growth strategy for the education outreach program to influence public perceptions of mental health through innovative educational mediums and outreach platforms.
-Supervise and direct a multidisciplinary team of content creators, educators, and mental health professionals to develop high-quality, evidence-based educational resources. Team management includes conducting weekly 1:1 meetings and completing annual performance reviews.
-Oversee the development of webinar series, ensuring content is engaging, informative, and accessible to diverse audiences. Lead content strategy for the MGB education portal, ensuring the accuracy and quality of all educational materials.
-Lead De constructing Stigma campaign, ensuring it aligns with the hospital's mission of stigma reduction, mental health advocacy, and sharing of knowledge.
-Create meaningful collaborations with organizations dedicated to improving mental health within their organizations, memberships, or communities, leading to educational opportunities such as speaking engagements, exhibits, workshops, or conferences.
-Manage the Education Outreach program budget. Seek and secure external funding sources to support and expand the reach of educational initiatives.
-Manage the development, production, and distribution of collateral and educational materials that support clinical programming, aligning them with McLean's key messaging and maintaining consistency and accuracy across all outreach platforms.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Education required or Bachelor's Degree Public Health required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Experience developing education or content strategies for diverse audiences, including digital platforms and webinars 8-10+ years preferred and Experience in education, public health outreach, or communications, with a focus on mental health education 5-7 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with stigma reduction efforts and a passion for mental health advocacy.
- Proficient project management skills, with experience managing budgets and seeking external funding.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
