How your role contributes to that mission:

We are looking for a Secondary Starter Room Operator in Jerome, ID. The Secondary Starter Room Operator is responsible for bulk blending and pasteurizing of various starter medias and cheese ingredients.

  • Safely and effectively mix starter media, Totes of Non-Fat Dry Milk, starches and Whey Protein Concentrate WPC per daily schedule.
  • Responsible for detailed hygienic and sanitation procedures of all blending and starter equipment per daily schedule.
  • Accurately grade and record cheddar cheese per specifications.
  • Accountable to regularly monitor starter inventory and place orders with managers as needed.
  • Safely and effectively operate cold milk separator as needed.
  • Liable for routine sanitation of cold milk separator in accordance with GMP specifications.

The profile that shares this sense of contribution:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience required.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Lift Truck License required; in-house training provided.
  • Pasteurizer license required.
  • Cheese grader license preferred.
