The role - what you'll do Barr is seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this hybrid role, you will manage and perform engineering tasks for gas and oil pipeline projects, including station upgrades, relocation and protection of existing pipelines, routing of proposed pipelines, pipe sizing, documents, and trenchless construction design. Qualified individuals will have strong engineering design experience related to pipeline systems engineering, system integrity, and construction or experience related to piping in the natural gas, liquefied natural gas, and oil sectors. This person will help develop our presence and assist with establishing our capabilities related to natural gas pipelines. A successful person in this role will have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. They must possess a flexible working style and be willing to occasionally modify their schedule to meet deadlines and/or client needs. They must be able to work cooperatively in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative and demonstrate effective project organization and management skills. Compensation: anticipated range of $95,888-$112,112 annually (salary). Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance.
