Primary Duties

  • Develop and coordinate donor cultivation plans with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each affiliated organization with input from the ServiceSource Foundation Executive Vice President, Vice President of External Affairs/Communications, Chief Program Officer, and affiliate Executive Directors. Establish and manage a training and accountability structure for key internal stakeholders to ensure consistent adoption, execution, and performance against the major donor framework.
  • Work with ServiceSource leadership and affiliate Executive Directors in cultivating key community relationships and building strong pipelines for coordinated partnerships for collaboration, growth and financial support.
  • Advise local affiliate staff in securing support from new donors through sponsorship of local events and individual donor cultivation that results in increased visibility and collaborative investment in our shared ServiceSource mission.
  • Conduct direct, face-to-face major gift solicitations at the local and national levels, working in close collaboration with Executive Directors and other senior leaders.
  • Utilize the organization's donor management system to develop and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, track engagement activity, and monitor progress toward defined fundraising goals.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work with affiliate program staff to identify gaps within programmatic priorities and track compelling data to communicate both the impact of the programs and need for sustainable funding.
  • Work collaboratively with the Communications team to develop outreach materials and highlight donor success stories to increase the visibility of ServiceSource and its affiliates.
  • Must be willing to travel to affiliate offices to understand programs and support fundraising and community outreach events. Estimated that 25 percent of time may be spent traveling and onsite at affiliate locations (primarily Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Utah, and Virginia).

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business or related field required.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience managing fundraising, philanthropy, and donor engagement efforts required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated and skilled at collaborating with all organizational levels, internal and external.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with, or ability to learn, new systems such as Blackbaud donor database.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to effectively share our mission.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and effective in cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Professional, resourceful, and detail oriented.
  • Nonprofit experience a plus.
