Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $30/hr. to $45/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. What You'll Do:
- Perform assembly/disassembly of rotating equipment, including pumps and motors
- Install seals and packing, and recommend repair solutions based on equipment condition
- Execute equipment start-ups and commissioning for industrial and water/wastewater systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, motors, and related equipment
- Diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues to maintain reliable operation
- Conduct vibration analysis, PdMA testing, and infrared (IR) testing on equipment and control panels
- Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems and assist with installation of electrical equipment
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
- Perform precision alignments to support equipment reliability
- Work directly with customers to explain findings and recommend solutions
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Shop teams, and Sales to support customer needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Respond to service calls, including occasional after-hours or emergency work
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent with strong mechanical aptitude
- 3-5+ years of experience in rotating equipment repair, maintenance, or field service (preferred, not required)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting (AC/DC)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (non-CDL)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Willingness to travel occasionally and respond to after-hours service calls
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Bonus: Experience with vibration analysis, PdMA testing, or infrared diagnostics
