Responsibilities

The associate Client Portfolio Manager role is a dynamic position that combines relationship management and portfolio management. The role is designed to provide a comprehensive training ground for a junior investment professional who aspires to build a career as a Portfolio Manager in the Wealth Management Industry. The Associate Client Portfolio Manager under the direction of a Lead Portfolio Manager will partner with other Wealth employees to develop and retain high net worth clients. Serves as the associate client portfolio manager to create client specific investment policy objectives and asset allocation goals.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $62,300 - $122,400 per year plus bonus. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Key Accountabilities

Management of investment portfolios:

    Provide ongoing oversight of assigned ONB/1834 investment accounts. Recommend and implement changes to the holdings and asset allocation to maintain compliance with strategies and policies.
  • Transition non-compliant portfolios to approved strategies.
  • Manage account liquidity to provide for ongoing cash demands and distributions.
  • Take on increasing responsibility for smaller client relationships as experience grows, allowing PMs to focus on larger and more complex client relationships
  • Prepare presentation for proposal and client review meetings.

Relationship management and development:

  • Partner with PMs to understand clients/attend client meetings and prioritize developing solutions.
  • Interact with clients and manage follow-up and ongoing client deliverables.
  • Partners with Wealth associates in client presentations, review of portfolio structure and investment performance reporting.
  • Serves as the relationship expert Trust and Asset Management's investment capabilities, economics, and market environment.
  • Prepare detailed investment information for clients.
  • Assists Trust and Asset Management associate with business development efforts.

Team participation:

  • Participate in weekly Portfolio Manager meetings.
  • Work individually or with a team on assigned projects.

Key Competencies for Position

  • Technical Knowledge - Demonstrate knowledge or familiarity with Industry tools such as Charles River, Factset, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and ensuring the accuracy of data models.
  • Communicating with Impact - Demonstrate excellent verbal and presentation skills and be comfortable explaining complex processes in simple to understand terms to internal partners.
  • Team Member - Demonstrate ability to build a collaborative working environment among team members and internal partners.
  • Attention-to-Detail - Ensure that all deliverables consistently meet the highest standard of quality and accuracy.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business or related field, and the equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related industry/work experience
