Description

The Hardware Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs focused on ibml hardware systems. This role ensures field service technicians, partners, and internal teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to install, maintain, and troubleshoot ibml equipment effectively.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for developing others. This role plays a critical part in driving service quality, consistency, and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with subject matter experts across the company, including VP Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, and technical writers to design, develop, and deliver hands-on and virtual training programs covering ibml hardware systems.

* Train field service technicians, internal teams, and third-party service partners on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

* Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, videos, and job aids.

* Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and field performance metrics, and continuously improve content and delivery methods.

* Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Service teams to stay current on hardware updates, new product releases, and technical changes.

* Be the conduit for supplying technical bulletins and updates to ibml and partner field technicians.

* Support new product launches by developing and delivering technical training programs.

* Provide on-the-job training and field support as needed to reinforce learning and ensure successful knowledge transfer.

* Identify skill gaps across the service organization and recommend targeted training solutions.

* Ensure all training aligns with safety standards, operational procedures, and company best practices.

* Maintain training records and track certification progress for technicians and partners.

* Travel as required to deliver training and support field teams up to 10%.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

* 5+ years of hands-on experience working with ibml hardware systems, preferably in a field service or technical support environment.

* Prior experience in technical training, instruction, or mentoring is strongly preferred.

* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

* Experience developing training materials and using learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.

* Ability to adapt training approaches to different learning styles and experience levels.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic technical documentation tools.

* Willingness to travel and support field-based training initiatives.
