The Multimedia Specialist III will develop and maintain projects for Arizona Athletics seeking to engage the fan base for all sports. This position will coordinate the Athletic Department's communication efforts to create a competitive advantage and oversee digital communication and the dissemination of communication plans to all stakeholders. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Develop and manage engaging content for main Arizona Athletics accounts and various other social media accounts and track on emerging media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).
- Create, develop, and review social media posts for Arizona Athletics, create media content for various platforms, and follow and track if post is received by customer base.
- Create and implement social media strategies to promote Arizona Athletic programs, events, and achievements. Create social media content schedules. Develop processes to establish timelines and coordinate social media efforts across the department.
- Monitor and engage with fans, alumni, and the Arizona/Tucson community on social media. Reply to fans who post comments on various social media platforms, engaging with them in a message or by creating more content on these platforms.
- Track social media metrics and analyze performance to refine strategies and report on outcomes. Report results to leadership. Develop new engagement opportunities to increase metrics.
- Ensure all social media content aligns with the Arizona Athletics brand and portrays the culture of the department. Follow all marketing and branding guidelines, ensure all official posts meet and exceed guidelines from campus and the conference.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, including promotions, events, games, and more. Plan social media campaigns that create fan engagement in all sports, and campaigns that connect one or more sports at a time. Work with other units in the department to ensure communication is presented and seeks fan engagement.
- Work with coaches, athletes, and other departments to gather content and promote initiatives that align with department goals. Develop new content, stay on top of key content and trends on social media platforms.
- Stay updated on social media trends and platform changes to keep content fresh and relevant for Arizona Athletics followers. Familiarity of social media influencers, current trends, and new apps that market Arizona Athletics.
- Manage team of student interns with scheduling, office hours, and projects.
- Budget accountability.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of field production equipment including, but not limited to, cinema-style and DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
- Ability to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
- Strong verbal, and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as independently.
- Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
- Knowledge of position related NCAA and Big-12 rules and compliance.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills, including planning, establishing priorities, and successfully managing multiple projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
