What You'll Do [ We are seeking a USPTOregistered Patent Agent or Attorney with a strong technical foundation in semiconductor physics, materials science, electrical engineering, and/or computer science. The role focuses on IP portfolio management while offering the flexibility to contribute across a broad range of responsibilities as team and company priorities evolve. We welcome candidates who bring diverse perspectives, collaborative spirit, and a commitment to continuous learning Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose Headquarters in alignment with our Flexible Work policy Reports to: Director IP Legal Management Key Responsibilities Technology Analysis & Patent Prosecution -Review invention disclosures, draft patent applications, and respond to office actions in partnership with inventors and external counsel. IP Portfolio Management -Oversee patents, trade secrets, and knowhow assets; generate technologylandscape reports; and support inventionharvest meetings. Invention Harvest & Documentation Engage with engineering teams, schedule technical discussions, and capture all emerging IP. Patent Review Committee Leadership Facilitate inventionquality grading and provide guidance on disclosure, drafting, and prosecution strategies. Outside Counsel Coordination Evaluate external counsel deliverables for quality, timeliness, responsiveness, and costeffectiveness. FreedomtoOperate & Infringement Monitoring Conduct freedomtooperate analyses and support infringement detection activities. Strategic Portfolio DecisionMaking Make datadriven decisions on patent lifecycles to maximize portfolio value while controlling expenses. What You Bring Active USPTO registration as a Patent Agent or Attorney. Experience in semiconductor physics, materials science, electrical engineering, and/or computer science. 3-10years of experience in patent prosecution and drafting, either in a law firm or inhouse environment. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and deliver results within agreed timelines. Demonstrated capacity and enthusiasm for quickly mastering new technologies. Strong communication and teamwork abilities to interact effectively with inventors, engineers, and external counsel. Capability to assess technical and legal information to make informed IP strategy recommendations.
