Koch Technology is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Cloud Networking responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling highly automated, enterprise grade cloud networking platforms. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with cloud network technologies (CSP native, Alkira, Cloudflare, or similar technologies), advanced BGP routing, and a strong engineering mindset focused on automation, repeatability, and reliability.

This engineer acts as a technical SME and automation champion, designing intent-based network solutions that minimize manual operations, accelerate delivery, and improve network resiliency across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Our Team

The Core Services team within KT Infrastructure is responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving the enterprise's foundational network services that enable reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across data centers, cloud environments, and internet facing applications. The team owns and evolves critical platforms such as Alkira cloud networking, Cloudflare edge security, Transport Hub interconnects, and load balancing services, with a strong focus on reliability, modernization, and operational excellence. Engineers work hands on with architecture, automation, incident response, and lifecycle management while partnering closely with product teams and business stakeholders to deliver resilient, future aligned connectivity solutions.

Location: This role can be located in Wichita, KS / Plano, TX / Atlanta, GA and requires an in office presence with flexibility

What You Will Do

  • Design and lead automated, scalable cloud and hybrid networking solutions using Alkira, Cloudflare, and cloud native services.
  • Define automation first network architectures, standards, and guardrails for enterprise environments.
  • Build and operate fully automated network deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows (Terraform, Python, Ansible).
  • Design, implement, and operate BGP based routing solutions, including traffic engineering, route control, failover, and convergence across hybrid and multi-cloud networks.
  • Automate network configuration, validation, and routing policy to improve resiliency and reduce manual error.
  • Deploy and integrate Alkira for centralized multi-cloud connectivity, segmentation, service insertion, and traffic steering across WAN, SDWAN, and data center environments.
  • Design and automate edge and security services using Cloudflare, including DNS, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), WAF, DDoS, and global traffic steering.
  • Embed observability, telemetry, and reliability practices into network platforms to enable proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and operational improvement.
  • Collaborate across cloud, security, and application teams while mentoring engineers on modern cloud networking and automation best practices.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Handson production experience with Alkira (or similar technologies), including automated deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Handson experience with Cloudflare (or similar technologies), including DNS, Zero Trust, WAF, and/or edge security services.
  • Experience networking across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with BGP routing in enterprise or largescale environments.
  • Strong expertise in TCI/IP networking, Routing policy, path selection and failover design
  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting complex routing systems at scale.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience integrating Alkira with SDWAN, firewalls, or service chained security platforms.
  • Advanced Cloudflare automation using APIs and Terraform providers.
  • Experience building self-service network platforms for internal teams.
  • Background in Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) or SRE aligned operating models.
  • Relevant certifications or training (preferred, not required), such as AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or automation focused credentials.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Practical scripting experience using Python or similar languages.
  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
  • Strong Git-based workflow and code review practices.
  • Passion for reducing manual effort through automation and repeatable engineering patterns.
