TheInventory Specialist is responsible for performing a variety ofinventory focused tasks on a rotated basis to support the daily goals. Inventory management through the scanning of products and ensuring that product is labeled correctly. Key Responsibilities



  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, scanning product, rotating product.
  • Follows all work safety policies and guidelines.
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
  • Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Will be required to rotate to various functions within the distributiondepartment as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.


Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)



  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical
  • Previous experience driving a forklift / pallet jack
  • Previous experience in an inventory control position


Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required
  • High attention to detail required
  • Basic computer skills with emphasis on inventory records
  • Basic math skills


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Previous shipping, warehousing and cycle counting experience preferred


Physical Demands



  • Standing and/or walking (8 hours a day or more),
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)
  • Reaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs)
  • Operating handheld and/or mechanical machinery
  • Climbing stairs
  • Gripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists.
  • Bending and stooping for long periods of time.


Working Conditions & Travel Requirements



  • Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
  • Position requires working around processing plant equipment.
  • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
  • The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
  • May work in damp and cold environment
  • May work in a dusty environment
  • May work with or around chemical of fumes
