THE POSITION

This position is located in the Maintenance/Custodial Department of the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, one of six residential long-term care facilities operated by the Department of Military & Veterans Affairs.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Custodial workers are involved in routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. Work involves the use of custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture. Work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to meet standards of cleanliness. This job is for a positive and productive person who takes pride in cleaning and helping others!

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sunday - Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
