DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Lottery Drawing Officer, you will perform Lottery HQ or Coordinator Official duties for all multi-state Games in which the Pennsylvania Lottery participates. You can expect to utilize the appropriate checklist for the Lottery HQ to maintain the integrity of the Pennsylvania Lottery games. Work includes verifying that all Games are in CLOSED status; which ensures that ticket sales by retailers for that particular drawing have been shut off. This position receives and verifies information relating to that evening's drawing, receives and balances game winner and payout reports and enters verified payout results. Additional duties to include:
- Enter verified results on the IVR automated telephone system which is used by the public to retrieve winning numbers
- Enter verified winning numbers and payout information on Lottery web site, confirm information is correct, review and correct any errors
- Verify that all games are in PAYING status via GMS, to allow retailers to immediately pay winning tickets
- Verify winning numbers and prize payout information on various retailer reports
- Update Lottery terminal messages to enable our retail outlets to view and report to the public new and current jackpot information
- Perform other related duties as required which may include required fill in as the evening drawing HQ official

- Part-time employment
- Work schedule hours and days are variable. Shift typically run from 9:00pm to 12:30am. The selected candidate will be expected to report to work even in the event of road closures, inclement weather, or disasters. Lottery Drawings are held 365 days a year and are considered an Essential function. Drawing Officials are considered Essential Employees and are required to arrive at the worksite as scheduled regardless of Agency or Commonwealth Closures. This position requires working weekends and holidays. Officials are expected to remain onsite until the drawing(s) are complete, or until otherwise instructed by management.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have the ability to learn new computer systems.
- You must be willing and able to work nights and weekends.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
