As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will provide a full range of psychological services to chronically and severely mentally ill consumers in an inpatient hospital setting. You will assess levels of function and cognitive integrity, determine specific treatment approaches, and set achievement goals. You will also administer psychological testing, provide psychotherapy, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, recommend, and conduct needed treatment. This role requires the ability to deliver therapy which builds on a person's strengths and interests to maintain and enhance present level of function. In addition, you will maintain records, attend regular training programs, and provide progress feedback to consumers and team members.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You schedule may change based o operational needs.
• Overtime and travel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening,.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
