What this job involves

The Compliance Analyst is a collaborative supporter and member of the Operations Team with the objective of providing world-class operational service delivery to the client's portfolio and customers. This position requires a clear communicator with strong organizational and effective time management skills who demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt while maintaining the highest standards of behavior, collaborative manner, and work ethics. The successful candidate will assist the National Compliance Manager in coordinating and collecting compliance records and permits necessary for operational compliance per local, state, and federal regulations, including operational equipment permitting, refrigerant usage, hazardous materials storage/use, and fuel storage/usage. This role involves researching and reviewing environmental codes and regulations applicable to critical facilities, maintaining the client's web-based compliance tool, preparing compliance reports for regulatory and compliance groups, and supporting insurance, regulatory, or corporate audits. The position demands a self-starter with the proven ability to work without direct day-to-day supervision while cultivating positive working relationships with client representatives, team members, and service providers.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Assisting the National Compliance Manager in coordinating and collecting compliance records and permits for operational compliance per local, state, and federal regulations, including equipment permitting, refrigerant usage, hazardous materials, and fuel storage requirements
  • Researching and reviewing federal, state, and local environmental codes and regulations applicable to critical facilities regulated chemical storage and operational permitting for equipment such as fuel tanks, generators, HVAC, batteries, and fire/life safety systems
  • Using the client's web-based tool to maintain assets, documentation, and notifications of compliance obligations while ensuring the program runs as intended and all users can access their data
  • Preparing and submitting compliance reports to the client's regulatory and compliance group while supporting the Risk and Compliance Group in insurance, regulatory, or corporate audits
  • Assisting the account team in meeting or exceeding account Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through proactive research and resolution of compliance needs or gaps
  • Demonstrating strong collaboration and teamwork with account-wide team while proactively sharing and re-applying all lessons learned, successes, and best practices
  • Cultivating and maintaining positive working relationships with client representatives, team members, and service providers while working independently without direct day-to-day supervision

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment with desk-based work requiring extensive computer use
  • Position requires ability to work independently without direct day-to-day supervision
  • May require occasional site visits to facilities for compliance audits or documentation collection
  • Role involves regular communication with client representatives, team members, and service providers across various locations
  • Work environment includes collaboration with account-wide teams and interaction with regulatory and compliance groups

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in environmental science, safety management, information systems, business administration, facilities management, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of industry experience in a corporate environment, third party service provider, or as a consultant
  • Strong organizational, research, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to research and understand environmental regulatory codes applicable to critical environments and equipment
  • High level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter and proactively research compliance needs to resolve gaps

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Document management experience
  • Knowledge of real estate, facilities management, and building systems
  • Experience with data and statistical applications such as PowerPivot, PowerView, Excel VBA, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with web-based compliance tracking and management systems
  • Background in critical facilities operations or regulated environments
  • Experience supporting insurance, regulatory, or corporate audit processes
  • Understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance measurement in facilities management

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

72,000.00 - 82,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
