AV Installation Technician Location: Boston, MA (Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern campuses) Duration: May 5 - September 5 Employer: TEKsystems (W2 Contract) Job Overview TEKsystems is seeking reliable, professional AV Installation Technicians to support largescale audiovisual installations across multiple Bostonarea college campuses. Technicians will assist with handson room builds and AV hardware installations while working under onsite project management and field leadership. This role is ideal for technicians who take pride in clean, wellorganized work, demonstrate professionalism on customer sites, and are eager to learn within structured AV deployments. Key Responsibilities * Perform AV installations in classroom, lecture hall, and campus environments * Pull, dress, label, and terminate lowvoltage cabling (CAT6, control cable, speaker wire, etc.) * Mount and install displays, speakers, cameras, racks, and related AV hardware * Support room builds and light decommissioning (demo) work * Follow installation standards, safety requirements, and project direction * Work closely with project managers and field leadership on site What the Team Cares Most About * Strong work ethic and consistent, reliable attendance * Highquality workmanship with clean, professional cable management * Coachable attitude and ability to take direction * Professional appearance and behavior on client sites * Quality of work prioritized over speed Required Qualifications * Previous experience with AV or lowvoltage installations * Comfortable performing physical installation work (lifting, ladders, tools) * Ability to read basic drawings or follow installation instructions * Reliable transportation to Bostonarea campuses * Authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis Nice to Have (Not Required) * Experience in commercial AV environments * Familiarity with structured AV deployments * CTS or other AV certifications (not required) Why This Opportunity * Wellorganized, clearly scoped projects * Clean, professional job sites * Strong field leadership and onsite support * Excellent summer contract with resumebuilding experience Company Benefits Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
