Description DESCRIPTION: -Performing planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for wireless network systems of high complexity. -Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement. -Responsible for implementation of wireless network architecture and designs. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Participates in wireless network planning, wireless network architecture design and engineering. - Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations. - Evaluates new products, performs wireless network problem resolution. - Develops and implements approved methods of procedure. - Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must-have skills: 1. ) Developing AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) policies and databases for Wi-Fi offload: particularly in carrier-grade environments that requires a blend of core, wireless network, and database management skills. 2.) Protocol Expertise: In-depth knowledge of RADIUS 3.) Authentication & EAP Methods: Experience with EAP-SIM (RFC 4186) and EAP-AKA (RFC 4187) to enable secure SIM-based authentication. 4. ) Hotspot 2.0/Passpoint: Skills in configuring Wi-Fi Passpoint to enable seamless, secure roaming for users between cellular and Wi-Fi networks. 5. ) OpenRoaming & WBA Standards: Familiarity with Wireless Broadband Alliance standards for interoperability 6.) SQL and NoSQL Database Skills: Strong database skills for managing subscriber profiles, tracking sessions, and managing accounting logs. Experience with SQL database architectures (e.g., MySQL Master/Slave) is commonly used for high availability. 7. ) Session Management & Data Store: Designing databases that can handle REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.). - Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols. - Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols and wireless network topology. - Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances. - Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Cisco Certified Wireless network Professional (CCNP ), Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greenwood Village, CO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
