*Location:* Troy, MI (Fully On-Site) *Duration:* 6-month contract to hire *Pay Rate:* Starting at $19.44/hour Job Title: Office Coordinator / Administrative Assistant (Facilities) Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented *Office Coordinator / Administrative Assistant* to support facilities, security, and office operations in a modern corporate environment. This is a fully on-site *second-shift* role that provides critical administrative and coordination support while helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning workplace. This position is administrative-heavy and will work closely with internal partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, conference room readiness, guest experiences, and building security. Key Responsibilities * Serve as a point of contact for emergency building issues and act as backup support for the facility technician * Assist with implementing and maintaining security protocols to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and company assets * Monitor and control building access; oversee security cameras and complete hourly and daily reports * Conduct regular walk-throughs and inspections of the facility * Maintain confidentiality of all security-related information * Cover the front desk as needed, greeting and checking in guests * Coordinate conference room setups, including beverages, snacks, seating charts, and meeting logistics * Assist with food orders, catering, and bringing in lunches for meetings * Track office supplies and submit purchase orders as needed * Oversee daily work completed by janitorial staff, including performing once-daily walkthroughs * Assist with booking business travel as needed * Complete daily assignments and maintain accurate records of completion Required Qualifications (Must Have) * 2-3+ years of experience in an administrative, office coordination, facilities, or security-related role * Strong computer skills, including data entry and report writing * Experience using *Google Workspace* (Google Meet, Google Sheets, Google Calendar) * Proficiency in *Microsoft Office Suite*, including Excel * Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with guests and employees at all levels, including C-suite executives * Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally * Reliable attendance and ability to work *on-site every day during evening hours* Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) * Certified security guard * Previous experience working for a security company Disqualifiers * Documented attendance issues in prior roles * Inability to work fully on-site * Job history showing less than one year in multiple positions Work Environment & Perks * Brand-new, modern office near 14 Mile Rd & Stephenson Hwy * Bright, contemporary workspace with artwork throughout * In-house cafeteria * Excellent culture with strong internal growth and promotion opportunities * Competitive benefits, PTO, and paid holidays *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.44 - $19.44/hr.
