| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The mission of the School of Social Work is to advance equity, transform systems, improve lives. Classes provide rigorous and evidence-based content, and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues. |
| Position Summary |
This position is to support Dr. Rice's project team in collecting, cleaning, and managing data from youth homelessness-serving providers in Los Angeles, California. Data collection will be conducted in person at youth-serving organizations, drop-in centers, and related service agencies located in Los Angeles County. Some data management and cleaning tasks can be conducted remotely. The position will also assist with documenting organizational and neighborhood context relevant to participating agencies, which may include structured environmental observations. The position will also assist in the facilitation of community convenings with homeless youth-serving organizations in Los Angeles, California. The person hired for this position will need to attend team meetings remotely. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Management Preferences |
Familiarity with advanced statistical methods such as multivariable regression techniques
Experience working with youth experiencing homelessness and staff who work at youth-serving organizations
Experience conducting focus groups or semi structured interviews. |
