Alliance Technical Group is on the lookout for an exceptional leader to take on the pivotal role of Fleet Manager. This job will pay $90,000 annually and performance bonus, benefits, PTO and 9 paid holidays per year. This position will oversee the whole division, and travel will be a necessity.

Summary/Objective

The Fleet Manager is experienced in fleet operations and logistics reports to the Director of Procurement and Logistics. The focus of the Fleet Manager is to support overall operations with fleet compliance measures for all corporate vehicles.

Essential Functions



  • Maintains organized and accurate inventory of all fleet vehicles throughout Alliance utilizing the Fleet Management Service provider system and other resource tools.
  • Works with Business Unit Leaders, Director of Procurement and Logistics, Controller, Operations Managers, and Area Managers for vehicle-related capital expenditures, planning, finding, purchasing, and selling. Ensures compliance with the Vehicle Purchase and Sale Policies.
  • Maintains current, organized, and detailed Master Fleet Lists for all Alliance business units.
  • Maintains files for each vehicle and trailer.
  • Ensures all vehicle registrations are maintained and kept within compliance.
  • Responsible for the proper management, tracking, and secure storage of vehicle titles to include title transfers when necessary.
  • Oversees and maintains the Fleet Management Service provider in all fleet-related aspects.
  • Manages Fleet transfers (permanent and temporary) from office to office.
  • Collaborates with Marketing for branding of all fleet-related equipment.
  • Management of Fuel Cards for the fleet, including maintaining the adding and removing of fuel card operators
  • Works directly with the Executive Vice President (EVP) as needed and ensures proper insurance coverage needs of the fleet.
  • Works directly with EVP and Director of Safety regarding management of vehicle incident insurance claims.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the company fleet policy.


Supervisor Responsibilities



  • Manages direct report team members in terms of work duties and company compliance requirements.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction, and problem-solving assistance for employees and oversees daily operations.
  • Assesses staff competencies and develops and retains high-performing staff.
  • Approves time sheets, PTO requests, and expenses.


Required Qualifications



  • 3 to 5 years of fleet management is preferred
  • Experience with third-party fleet sites required
  • Exceptional organization skills and work ethic
  • Must be available to work 40-plus hours as well as some nights and weekends
  • Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, listening, and written


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to be creative when normal avenues of accomplishing tasks are unavailable
  • Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports


Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

Must be able to meet the physical demands of a typical office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Field visits will require walking, climbing, and observations.

Travel

Ability to travel domestically as needed.
