CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team at a client site in Bessemer City, NC, where you will play a key role in planning, designing, and executing advanced engineering solutions for industrial facilities. In this role, you'll lead technically complex efforts, collaborate across disciplines, support developing engineers, and contribute to the evolution of modern manufacturing infrastructure.



What You'll Do:

    Provide advanced engineering judgment to complete complex designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for manufacturing and high tech facility projects
  • Develop process, mechanical, electrical, or utility system designs that support production efficiency, reliability, and environmental control within advanced manufacturing environments
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed engineering phases with cross disciplinary teams-including mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, and process engineering
  • Support project execution by monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring performance aligns with client expectations and production requirements
  • Deliver technically sound solutions within budget and schedule constraints, supporting optimized facility operations and long term system performance
  • Provide guidance, technical mentorship, and design review for junior engineering staff
  • Participate in feasibility studies, system evaluations, commissioning support, and operational assessments


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
  • Proven experience in electrical and instrumental engineering with a strong knowledge of instrumentation
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Proficient in control systems, PLC/DCS, SCADA, and instrumentation technologies
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety design
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws including industrial standards and practices (IEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.)
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $130,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
