Job Summary


The Software Product Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing supplier software development activities supporting advanced defense systems programs. This role provides technical oversight, coordinates software deliveries, and ensures high-quality outputs that meet program requirements. The position requires strong communication skills, experience with software development processes, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

Job Responsibilities



  • Provide technical oversight and coordination of supplier software development activities
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and high-quality software deliveries
  • Report project status, risks, and progress to program management
  • Manage software issue tracking, including monitoring metrics and supporting resolution of anomalies
  • Maintain and update system databases and program documentation
  • Support the development and publication of interface requirements and message format specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design decisions and ensure alignment with program goals
  • Ensure adherence to established software development processes and standards
  • Support data management activities related to system restrictions and software configurations


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and coordinate technical activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex program environment
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools preferred
  • Eligibility to obtain or maintain required program clearance


Work Experience



  • Experience in software development, systems engineering, or supplier management preferred
  • Experience supporting large-scale or regulated programs preferred
