Overview
Make a positive impact by supporting programs that strengthen both youth and families. This internship focuses on 4-H youth development and home and community education, offering hands-on experience in areas such as leadership development, nutrition, wellness, and family life. Interns will help deliver programs, develop educational materials, and engage with participants of all ages.

Our team fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment where interns are supported in learning and trying new things. You'll gain experience working in both youth and community settings, with opportunities to collaborate, lead activities, and build professional skills. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on program needs. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in Extension, community education, community health, or family and consumer sciences.

Responsibilities
Program & Event Support
  • Assist with leading physical activity programs (community walks, youth camps, etc.)

Education & Content Development
  • Develop health and wellness educational resources such as presentations, factsheets, articles, etc.

Community Outreach & Partnerships
  • Participate in coalition meetings and professional networking in Davis County

Research & Evaluation
  • Manage the online platform for the statewide physical activity program, Marathon Kids

Professional Development & Other Duties
  • Assist with broader wellness programming (nutrition, food security, mental health)


Qualifications
  • Be an undergraduate student
  • Have an interest in the Extension program
  • Be dependable
