Administrative Assistant - AM Compliance & WM Compliance - Global Compliance

Global Compliance prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes this through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and helps to oversee the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries.

This position sits within the divisional compliance teams that cover the Goldman Sachs' Asset & Wealth Management business. The candidate will provide administrative support to the Global Heads of Asset Management Compliance and Wealth Management Compliance, as well as their New York-based senior management team (four Managing Directors).

Key skills for success in this role:



  • Staying on top of complex calendars and phones in real time-prioritizing competing requests, anticipating conflicts, and ensuring [global heads] are prepared for each day
  • Building strong relationships across the administrative organization and key stakeholders to quickly coordinate availability and get meetings confirmed and on the calendar
  • Exercising utmost discretion-handling confidential and highly sensitive information with sound judgment and professionalism at all times
  • Team player with a professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking in deadline-driven settings; detail-oriented
  • Quick learner and self-starter with excellent anticipation skills
  • Pro-active problem solver and independent thinker; ability to follow up as often as necessary
  • Comfortable partnering across all organizational levels


Experience required:



  • 5+ years administrative assistant experience; finance industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general business, corporate, and government environments
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Familiar with expense platforms such as SAP Concur
  • Bachelor's degree required


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York City, NY United States-based position is $70000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
