Job Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for performing repair, assembly, and electrical/mechanical testing of medical devices, including in-home dialysis machines and infusion pumps. This role supports production and service operations by following standardized procedures, ensuring product quality, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a regulated environment. Job Responsibilities
- Perform repair, assembly, and testing of medical devices according to standard work instructions
- Conduct electrical and mechanical testing using appropriate tools and equipment
- Document service and testing results accurately in system records
- Maintain workflow efficiency to support continuous production and service operations
- Interpret device readings and follow procedures to complete service processes or escalate issues as needed
- Rotate across functional areas including assembly, repair, testing, and shipment preparation
- Use hand and power tools to assemble and disassemble components
- Operate testing equipment to verify device performance and specifications
- Perform basic inspections and support quality assurance activities
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products
- Receive and process incoming products, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Support training of team members as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills for data entry and navigating multiple systems
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work in a regulated environment and follow strict safety and quality standards
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 42 pounds in certain functions
- Ability to work with cleaning and sanitizing solutions and handle medical devices as required
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Basic experience with hand and power tools preferred
- Familiarity with testing equipment such as multimeters or gauges preferred
Work Experience
- Previous experience in electrical or mechanical assembly, repair, or testing preferred
