Primary Responsibilities HDR is currently in search of a Transportation Hydraulics EIT/Coordinator in our Transportation Business Group. The primary duties of the Transportation Hydraulics EIT/Coordinator include working in a team with other project engineers on stormwater master plans, floodplain modeling, and the design of urban and rural roadway, highway and transit projects. The Transportation Business Group is active in the aviation, transit, freight rail, highway and local roads, and federal market sectors. Primary responsibilities include: Ability to work under the direction of multiple project engineers to apply various design, engineering and modeling techniques in the development of transportation and water resource projects for local municipalities, state and federal clients. Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects. Site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation. Prepare civil design drawings with BIM/CADD platforms for construction documents. Hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations and calculations. Preparing drainage maps. Stormwater management facility design calculations and modeling. Preparing Construction/Contract Plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Performing flooding complaint investigations. Assist with writing reports and technical memos. Drainage design permitting support. Water quality assessments and calculations. Floodplain impacts and compensation calculations. Bridge hydraulics and scour evaluations and calculations. Prepare cost opinions and write technical documents. Support construction phase implementation of infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications
