As Technical Product Engineer, you will drive cross-functional alignment, backlog management (including feature prioritization and sequencing), stakeholder engagement, and release planning for our platform modernization initiatives, focusing on Wireline VoIP. We're looking for a strategic leader with deep product ownership and strong knowledge of Large Scale Agile frameworks to support our platform modernization. The successful candidate will leverage a data-driven approach, along with AI, Agile tooling, and process automation skills, to quickly deliver business value through both new and existing capabilities to market.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Partnering with Release Train Engineer(s) (RTE) to drive the completion of committed Business Objectives aligned to roadmap deliverables.

  • Managing request intake, socialization, and prioritization processes.

  • Understanding and communicating high-level implementation strategies, dependencies, and associated technical and roadmap impacts to stakeholders.

  • Owning the backlog refinement process, ensuring epics are socialized, reviewed with Tech Leads, and ready for Program Increment planning.

  • Balancing Product, Regulatory, and Infrastructure priorities to align the initiative Roadmap with regulatory mandates, product launch targets, and infrastructure support/security requirements.

  • Partnering with Release Train Engineers to ensure continuous success in Release planning, readiness, and deployments.

  • Tracking action and issue resolution to closure, ensuring timely completion of external dependencies.

  • Meeting VBG and NI Program and Project management processes as required.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or less of time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Product Management and Technical/Architectural leadership.

  • Deep knowledge of Distributed and Embedded Systems.

  • Experience with Modern WebScale and microservices-based architecture.

  • Experience integrating core competencies with AI agents such as Gemini and Claude.

  • Data architecture and Operational supportability.

  • Quality Assurance Analysis of data architecture and operational support.

  • Strong knowledge of Large Scale SAFe Agile methodology.

  • Product Owner Certification (SAFe POPM, A-CSPO).

  • Scrum Master Certification (SAFe RTE, CSP-SM).

  • Experience as a Development Lead, Quality Assurance Lead, or DevOps (CI/CD) Lead.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $127,500.00 - $245,000.00.
