Job Summary

The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for assigned duties related to the physician contracting process, including coordinating information needed from health system departments and hospital administration to process contracts and contract changes, finalizing applicable contract exhibits ensuring compliance checklist steps are completed, and assisting with fair market value assessments.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with weekly /monthly /quarterly perioperative data reporting, validation, and distribution.
  • Support Perioperative Executive Council (PEC) and subcommittee data needs.
  • Perioperative services dashboard maintenance to track identified perioperative operational, finance and quality metrics.
  • Support the surgery business office in a variety of ad hoc data reporting.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of perioperative data daily.
  • Management of Epic's surgical block scheduling system.
  • Work in conjunction with corporate IT and other Beaumont facilities to evaluate, design, and enhance reporting methodology.
  • Support the surgery business office reporting and analyzing financial/revenue data to include proforma development, profit/loss analysis, contribution margin per procedure analysis.
  • Evaluate and interpret data findings accurately and translate into relevant and clear conclusions for target audience.
  • Critically evaluate data integrity and reconcile data inconsistencies.
  • Participate in process improvement analysis and assist with implementation working with the appropriate team members.
  • Represents the perioperative business office at committee or departmental meetings as appropriate.
  • Supports programs and business needs as directed by the director of business and assists with project management.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent In business administration or health administration.
  • 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years health care operational experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years health care operational and/or financial data analytic experience

Preferred

  • Master's Degree
  • 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years surgical services or anesthesia experience
