Overview

As a Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Waste Management Practice at the Charlotte, NC office, you'll lead projects focused on the planning, permitting, design, and site development of integrated solid waste facilities. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams supporting local government and private clients across the municipal solid waste, industrial, and energy sectors. You'll oversee project execution from concept through construction, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction, while collaborating across CEC practices to deliver integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

    Manage solid waste and site development projects from proposal through construction, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
  • Lead project teams in the planning, permitting, and design of integrated solid waste facilities
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control reviews to ensure deliverables meet regulatory and client requirements
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams throughout all phases of the project
  • Prepare proposals and support business development efforts to expand client relationships and win new work
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, supporting their professional growth and development
  • Collaborate with other CEC practices to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering;
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure;
  • Proficiency in design programs such as AutoCAD Civil 3D; and
  • Ability to nurture existing clients and desire to develop business.
