As a Security Officer Access Driver Enhanced Part Time in Deer Park, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity to help support controlled access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, loading areas, and perimeter locations, noting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious conditions for reporting.
• Support emergency response activities by helping with access restrictions, accountability procedures, and clear communication during evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and other site emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
