As a Security Officer Warehouse Part Time Screening in Hagerstown, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and/or vendors at the front desk, following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal standards for the location.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry records, and/or communicating with site contacts before granting access.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, and support front desk operations by providing information, documenting activity, and/or reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns by observing front lobby activity, monitoring cameras and/or alarm indicators, and documenting security-related events accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
