Astrion has an exciting opportunity for aProgram Manager position at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) initiative is a major Air Force Logistics Transformation effort and will be classified as an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I or high-value ACAT III program. MRO will deliver an integrated set of capabilities enabling AFMC and AFSC to plan, schedule, and execute organic Depot Maintenance activities with greater agility, efficiency, and precision. This role supports the development, coordination, staffing, and execution of acquisition documentation, artifacts, and exhibits required to satisfy statutory and regulatory requirements for ACAT compliance. Expertise in information support planning, business case development, Clinger-Cohen Act compliance, and acquisition strategy is essential.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR, 15 years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting ACAT I or III programs.
  • Familiarity with Clinger-Cohen Act compliance and business case development.
  • Relevant certifications (DAWIA PM, PMP, Agile certifications).
  • Experience with Air Force logistics or sustainment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply DoD program management and acquisition principles (per DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75) to the planning, development, integration, and execution of MRO program activities.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to assess program effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Identify schedule and cost baseline variances; recommend viable solutions and alternative courses of action.
  • Prepare high-quality acquisition documentation, including briefings, plans, reports, and technical exhibits.
  • Support assessment of system acquisition across development, production, and deployment phases.
  • Formulate program plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Develop and support statutory and regulatory reporting, including DAES and MAR.
  • Support program management reviews, senior-level meetings, and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, schedules, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and oversee junior and journeyman personnel in program management tasks.
