Way of Work: Hybrid Reporting Location: Columbus, Ohio - Airside Job Summary To research, coordinate, and facilitate land activities in order to ensure land rights agreements are properly recorded, maintained, archived, and modified to meet legal requirements and customer expectations. Collaborate with survey and land leader to track survey and land projects and to ensure proper payment to contractors.
Essential Functions
Investigate and interprets land rights agreements Assures all pertinent land documentation is available through both electronic media and paper to ensure accurate information is provided to company personnel and/or landowner, with appropriate provisions of agreement. Partners with the legal department in various projects, including discovery requests ensuring all acquired land agreements meet legal requirements Prepares legal documents (partial releases, surrenders, modifications, bills of sale, etc.) Examines courthouse records, requests title assistance, and contacts landowners where appropriate Submits land agreements to appropriate county for recording Controls/negotiates existing railroad license agreements and preparation of annual lease renewal schedule Reviews and processes contractor invoices for survey and land work Establishes and cultivates valued relationships with county recorders, railroads, and company affiliates Works independently and provides timely and efficient response to customer concerns involving encroachments and other land related matters Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Support and apply all safety guidelines and be a champion for safety and support a strong safety culture
Required Qualifications For Position
High School Diploma with appropriate experience Working knowledge of office automation applications including Microsoft office suite and web based applications Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to deliver oral/written presentation on projects Ability to read and interpret legal documents Energetic, creative thinker Organizational skills Knowledge of land matters Ability for occasional overnight travel Possess or ability to obtain Notary Public Positive team player and customer service focus Indoors 90%; outdoors 10%. Sitting 80%, standing/walking 10%, bending/lifting 10%. Possible overtime and overnight travel required. Demonstrated knowledge of basic surveying and mapping concepts Demonstrated knowledge of various land rights and their recording requirements Valid Drivers License Upon Hire

Salary Range*: $54,000.00 - $75,500.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity. Posting Start Date: 2026-04-21
