What to Expect

Provides hands-on technical support for Tesla battery cell development testing and failure analysis. Works under senior engineering direction to execute tests across multiple cell formats, including setup fabrication, data collection, and reporting for electrical, mechanical, and thermal stress conditions.


What You'll Do
  • Work with test engineers to solve testing problems and execute projects as required
  • Perform hands-on battery cell dissection, electrical testing, and data collection
  • Troubleshoot tester and connection issues during test execution and recommend next steps
  • Communicate deviations from test or project plans along with possible remedies
  • Collect information and data required to solve technical problems
  • Apply data to solve problems through technical computations, measurements, and analysis
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies

What You'll Bring
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Practical knowledge of DC electrical theory
  • Knowledge of battery systems and battery materials
  • Functional knowledge of Excel required
  • Ability to run tests, dissect cells, and define next steps with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify, recommend, and document process or equipment changes to improve test yield and reliability

    Expected Compensation
    $27.36 - $47.88/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
