This position supports the development, design, and implementation of a treatment outcome study funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Under the supervision of the PI, a key focus of this position is to manage the data collection for a large multisite trial evaluating the efficacy of a video and text message intervention for recent sexual assault survivors.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results
  • Performs literature reviews and writes reports
  • Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers
  • Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences
  • Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $44,543 - $63,697 for highly experienced candidates. Actual pay within this range will depend on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of research experience which may include work on a senior honors thesis or substantive work in a research lab
  • Strong interest and familiarity with quantitative research methods
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and engage in creative problem solving
  • Familiarity with data analytic softwares such as R, SPSS, Mplus etc.
  • Experience managing, organizing, and/or cleaning data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with research on sexual violence, posttraumatic stress, and/or substance use
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field, required
