As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Team in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail-related location, helping to identify and respond to security-related concerns while remaining visible throughout assigned areas. This role includes routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, with teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that puts people first.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, following posted policies, and responding to emergency-related situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales, storage, loading, and perimeter areas, to help identify unauthorized activity, operational concerns, and/or conditions needing attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help control access, observe visitor and/or delivery activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Support loss prevention and other security-related efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with incident response, and completing required reports accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
