As a Security Officer Entry Control in Chemung, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. At a leading healthcare location, Allied Universal Access Control Officers help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This role includes maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly, and assisting with routine security-related activities. Pay Rate: $18.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor management practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with staff, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
• Screen visitors, vendors, and deliveries, maintain accurate access logs, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobbies, and surrounding areas, as assigned, with attention to access control issues and other security-related conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
