The Site Training Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all training and development programs within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that employees at all levels possess the skills, knowledge, and competencies required to meet production standards, maintain safety compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Training Supervisor partners closely with department managers, safety teams, and HR to align training strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of trainers and/or line leads to deliver high-quality, consistent on-the-job training (OJT) across all shifts and departments
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and development opportunities to the direct training team
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation; develop schedules and training materials
  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training curricula for new hire onboarding, skills development, safety compliance, and leadership development - including hands-on, classroom, and blended learning sessions tailored to a manufacturing audience
  • Create instructional materials including SOPs, training manuals, visual aids, e-learning modules, and assessments
  • Develop and maintain frontline leadership training programs for new and existing supervisors
  • Develop, implement, and manage training programs for hourly manufacturing employees, including technical, safety, and operational skills training
  • Ensure all mandatory safety and regulatory training (OSHA, LOTO, PPE, hazmat, etc.) is current, documented, and completed by all personnel
  • Collaborate with EHS, safety, operations, quality, and HR teams to update training programs in response to regulatory changes, incident findings, and operational needs
  • Align training content with production needs, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain accurate training records and certifications for all employees in compliance with internal policies and internal/external audit requirements
  • Conduct skills gap analyses across departments to identify training needs and priorities; develop competency assessments and qualification tests to measure effectiveness
  • Analyze training trends and results; develop strategies and methodologies to continuously improve training effectiveness based on feedback, metrics, and performance outcomes
  • Track employee progress and generate reports on training completion rates, certifications, and performance improvements
  • Coordinate and schedule training activities to minimize disruption to production operations
  • Manage training budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and update curricula including digital learning modules (LMS)
  • Manage the facility Change Communication process
  • Serve as a liaison between the business unit and corporate training/development departments
  • Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing throughout the facility
  • Identify and implement best practices in adult learning and workforce development; evaluate and update training programs regularly to reflect process changes, new equipment, and evolving business needs

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality standards is preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills is preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment is preferred

Working Conditions

  • Primarily plant floor and office environment
  • Exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
  • May require occasional overtime, weekend, or shift coverage to accommodate training schedules

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development, human resources, industrial management, or a related field is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of training experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training programs for hourly and salaried employees is preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
