Jr Clinical Research Assistant

The Jr. Clinical Research Assistant is part of an integral and collaborative research team located at the Neuroscience Research Center at the Neuroscience Center and/or Struthers Parkinsons Center. The Center oversees all research activities within Neuroscience Research at the Neuroscience Research Center, Struthers Parkinsons Center, Regions Hospital, and Methodist Hospital. We are looking for a motivated energetic individual who approaches work from a patient centered perspective and has passion around finding new treatments for disease affecting the brain and spine.

This position will:

• Conduct clinical research to improve the treatment and prevention of conditions of the brain and spine in areas including but not limited to neurosurgery, Alzheimer's disease, stroke and Parkinson's disease.
• Development and implementation of research applications and protocols that may include abstraction of patient electronic medical records, data entry and processing, cognitive assessments and general support of research activities.

Work schedule: FTE: .5 (20 hrs. weekly), May-August

Required Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of two years of college coursework in a medical/science related field.
