POSITION SUMMARY

As a Design Engineer this position will be responsible for design, modeling, estimation-related work, and support of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment where extreme attention to detail is required and expected.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications.
• Design forging configurations and tooling.
• Run simulations to optimize the forging shapes & forging conditions.
• Work with die manufacturers to specify and manufacture tooling.
• Manufacturing operations support.
• Communicate and provide information/documents to other departments.
• Investigate and analyze data to drive accurate root cause and corrective action efforts.
• Perform any assigned special R&D projects.
• Perform inspection of forgings and tooling.

• Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience will be considered)

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity and proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Siemens NX12 (Unigraphics) is preferred).
• Experience with FEA Modeling (SFTC Deform) is preferred.
