General Purpose

The Inventory Manager provides leadership for the plant's manufacturing warehouse organization and serves on the plant's leadership team. The Inventory Control Manager manages and develops manufacturing warehouse team leads, supervisors, inventory control and shipping and receiving personnel. The Inventory Manager provides warehousing guidance and oversight for all plant associates.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide a Positive work environment that delivers Safe, Quality Cases at the Speed of Business
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity within your Scope of responsibility and Lead Project Teams to implement Corrective and Preventative Actions
  • Be Present on the Warehouse Floor and Consult employees to further identify and remove obstacles that could get in your employees' way of delivering Safe, Quality Cases at the Speed of Business
  • Take a leadership role in the finite scheduling of full goods movement across the Fort Worth Orbit to improve overall Fill Rate
  • Improve Operational efficiencies across the docks and Warehouse full goods put away/retrieval processes
  • Regularly communicate performance results
  • Regularly communicate and document Management of Change activities
  • Take a leadership role in our efforts to reduce Inventory Variance and Warehouse Damage (BD&L)
  • Drive Continual improvement efforts related to Shipping Errors or Damage
  • Champion our Orbit's Recycling Endeavors
  • Develop robust routines to ensure ISO, Company and Local Operational compliance
  • Improves process and operational consistency to reduce cost
  • Motivate, direct, coach and develop a diverse, high performing and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and address the complexity of leading a diverse workforce; participates and actively supports participation in D&I initiatives.

  • Monitor and manage all PIT programs, ensuring compliance, productivity, and maintenance scheduling.
  • Builds strong internal, cross-functional networks for effective collaboration and knowledge transfer
  • Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, Human Resources, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Consults with other functions as needed to resolve difficult issues.
Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 yrs of increasing levels of manager or supervisory roles of people & processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a long term warehousing plan showing year over year improvement in shrink, warehouse KPIs and warehouse cost.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles of manufacturing and inventory management.
  • Extensive knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Working knowledge of national, state , and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, overall safety, environment and emergency management.
  • Extensive knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing and warehousing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of key business drivers used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier. HACCP. Good Manufacturing Practices. Inventory Troubleshooting. Inventory Analysis
    Preferred Experience:
  • ISO (22000, 9000, 14001, etc.) or other management system.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, 5S.
  • Working knowledge of food safety.
  • Self-Guided Work Force. Continuous Improvement.
  • Microsoft Office. Inventory management software - prefer SAP.
  • Project Management. Manage P&L; Spending Controls.
  • Forklift, Transport and similar equipment management.
  • Change Management.
