The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

A Lead in Shipping, Material Handling, and Packaging oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring that products are properly packed, labeled, and shipped in compliance with company standards and customer requirements. This role acts as a working lead, combining supervisory duties-such as assigning tasks and training employees - with hands-on work, including operating forklifts and packaging materials.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directs daily workflow, prioritizes tasks, and ensures productivity targets are met.
• Trains new and temporary employees on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
• Provides feedback to management regarding employee performance and skill development.
• Ensures all team members wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines.

Shipping & Packaging Operations

• Ensures products are protected, labeled, and packed in accordance with job travelers and customer specs.
• Prepares bills of lading (BOLs), invoices, and packing lists.
• Performs final inspections on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
• Coordinates with carriers for pickups and manages dock schedules.

Material Handling & Inventory

• Manages stock levels, conducts cycle counts, and investigates discrepancies using ERP software.
• Safely operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanning equipment.
• Coordinates the movement of materials between storage, production, and shipping areas.

Education & Experience

• Typically 2-5+ years in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or material handling, often requiring previous supervisory experience.
• Lead a team of 4-5 employees to fill shortages package and loading trucks
• Forklift Experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift, push, and carry objects up to 50+ lbs, and stand for long periods.
• Flexible hours including overtime.

Salary Range (annual): $49,920 - $56,160
