POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State Berks (Wyomissing, PA) invites applications for an one-year full time non-tenure Assistant Teaching Professor beginning August 2026. This is a 36-week, full-time appointment. The position includes full benefits. Penn State Berks, a college of the Pennsylvania State University, offers the collegiality of a small college with the strength of a well-respected research university. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching courses in mechanics and other area (Cornerstone Design, Matlab for Engineers, Machine Design, Computerized Input/Output, Capstone Design and other courses).The courses are part of the 2+2 and BS in Mechanical Engineering and BS in Electromechanical Engineering Technology programs. Typically, this position carries a teaching load of twelve contacts (approximately 4 3-credit courses) per semester. Penn State Berks encourages active and collaborative learning, including undergraduate research, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners in the classroom. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants are required to have at least earned a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field by the employment start date.A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field with some industry experience by the employment start date is preferred.
