This unique opportunity is a 100% FTE position scheduled to typically work Monday through Friday, day shift hours, however some off hours or weekends may be required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will primarily work at the Administrative Office Building (AOB) in Middleton, WI with travel required to clinical areas of support. Pay:
- Pay range is based on a full-time (100%) position.
- Salary is prorated based on FTE.

Be part of something remarkable Bring your clinic workflow nursing expertise to UW Health. We are seeking an MSN prepared Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nursing Professional Development team to:
- Make a broad impact across adult specialty clinics, leading onboarding and professional development for RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants in a highly collaborative ambulatory environment.
- Design and deliver education focused on clinical skills and triage, supporting safe, efficient care across diverse patient populations and clinic workflows.
- Support a wide range of specialty areas including ENT (ear, nose and throat), surgical specialties, wound and ostomy, neurosurgery, burn and wound, podiatry, vascular, orthopedics, rehabilitation, bariatrics, and the Pre-Anesthesia Clinic (PAC), offering exceptional variety and continuous learning.
- Partner with clinic leaders and interdisciplinary teams to align education with real-time operational needs, patient flow, and evolving clinic practices across multiple locations throughout the greater Madison area.
- Serve as a key resource and mentor, promoting competency, consistency, and excellence across MA, LPN, and RN roles while strengthening team-based care delivery.
- Contribute to system-wide initiatives and NES responsibilities; three years of clinic nursing experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing Education Preferred
Work Experience
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience with position specific patient population Preferred
- 3 years of experience providing orientation and education for nursing staff in clinical setting Preferred
- Relevant experience in primary and specialty clinic settings for NES candidates working in ambulatory areas Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support BLS/CPR certification Upon Hire Required
- National certification in relevant specialty Preferred
