About this Role:

The NPD Manager position is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. Our plant help produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it's important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. The NPD Manager Manage sites projects and/or customer account assigned within Cost /Time to Market /Quality/ Quantity objectives defined in the project brief or charter. Here's a list of duties that our Molding Machine Operator performs on a typical day:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as key point of contact and support sales from RFQ to commercialization on Global Customer account projects.
• Ensure site coordination and manage assigned projects according to Quality / Time to Market / quantity / cost projects objectives for (P0+/P1/P2/P3)
• Manage directly strategic / Critical projects
• Manage directly assigned New Product Innovation Projects
• Manage the project team, secure task planning, coordinate day-to-day activities, guide the project team members, get their commitment, and monitor progress against deadlines.
• Control the project both from a timing, financial and quality perspective; managing the resources provided to meet project objectives and -targets in order to deliver sustainability in the choice for product, process and supplies.
• Reports monthly and during the project steering committees the status of the projects.
• Define actions with the appropriate Department Manager if a assigned member of the project team does not respect his commitments.
• Support technically the Marketing or the Sales for the promotion of the new products.

Ensure timely and documented Gate reviews and is guarantor of the NPD Process application

Education/Experience:

• Master or Engineering degree in Project management or Mechanical / Plastics / Packaging
• 5 to 7 year experience in a similar function as product development projects manager for fmcg products and plastic injection technology (Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Electronics, Plastic injection suppliers & industries) exposed to international cultures and teams
• Fluent in English
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must have 3-5 Years in a Plastics Manufacturing Environment

Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided):

• Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor
• Visually capable of working on complex miniature components
• Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping
